This resort has drastically gone downhill. Very outdated and worn. The clientele matches the $35/night special rates. Parties in next rooms kept us up all night. Walls are paper thin. Fights in the lobby bar, rap music blasting nonstop throughout the resort..shame on MGM. This was the filthiest hotel we have stayed in. I called to book my room reservation, and the service was really good, so I was really looking forward to my stay there. But boy was I disappointed. For such a high-end hotel, I was very surprised to find an opened bag of chips left in the drawer from the previous guest. Makes me wonder if they really cleaned and sanitized everything in the room. The front desk also told me there would be a microwave in my room when I called the night before, but that was not the case when I checked in to my room. Lastly, I requested a high floor, but was given a room on the first floor...At least the concierge service was good and prompt. But needless to say, my stay there was a big let down from the get go

Unfortunately our experience was less than expected. The Dakota in Glasgow is really just an overpriced Premier Inn. The lighting within the room is poor, it’s nice for a subtle evening effect . But the lighting over the dressing table is not fit for purpose, additionally the mirror at the dressing table is not at a suitable height ... i.e. it’s too high for a normal sized person, great though if you are 7’5 .The media hub system for the tv is below par, it’s dated and unusable with iOS devices. The tv on the wall is not level - petty remark , however it’s attention to detail that counts.The lack of coffee cafetière and real coffee was disappointing- instant coffee is silly wee sachets is re

Our trip was difficult from check in. We had to wait 45 minutes to check in just to the amount of people that was checking in. When I finally got to the check in desk they told me that my booking was not accepted and that there was no rooms available, even though I had confirmation. They eventually resolved this however the room wasn’t ready and we had to wait a further 60 minutes. We asked the reception to call us when the room was ready and the response was “I’ll try”. the lifts were broken and we had to climb up 4 flights of stairs with all our luggage.
